#1 Introducing, the iPhone 5s
The newest iPhone looks similar, but there are some dramatic software and hardware upgrades hidden inside.
#2 Super Fast Processing Chip
-With this incredibly powerful chip the 5S will have the capability to run at 2x the speed of the iPhone 5, made possible by a better chip and an upgrade from a 32 to a 64 bit operating system
#3 Apps Still Run at 32 bit
Sure the developers will catch up, but as of now all the apps are designed to run at 32 bits and won’t be able to take advantage of the 64 bit system for a while. The iPhone’s menus will run faster, but when was the last time you felt like they were running slow?
#4 Touch ID
-On the home button there’s a sensor that scans your fingerprint to unlock the phone in lieu of the traditional passcode.
-Touch ID will make the iPhone almost impossible to use once stolen, which will hopefully deter theft.
-When shopping for apps or music you now swipe your fingerprint to finalize the purchase instead of typing in your iTunes passcode
-The fingerprint ID information is stored on your phone, not on any type of Apple server
-Home button still feels the same, and fingerprint scanning process is very fast
#5 Privacy Violation?
Although Apple says your fingerprint ID information is stored on a chip inside your iPhone, does that truly mean they couldn’t ever access it if they wanted to? Would they tell us if they could?
They’re already tracking our every move, and listening to our phone calls so does it really matter if they know what our thumb looks like?
