Judging by our newsfeeds, everybody seems to be feeling the doom that comes with going back to school, college or work this week – what happened to the land of endless mince pies and sleeping until 3pm? A little person who was also dreading the beginning of the new academic year was Cara, who decided to take matters into her own hands in ensuring she didn’t have to walk through those gates to scholarly hell this week.
Cara decided to write a note – in black felt tip marker with a decorative green arrow nonetheless – addressing her parents, which read:
“the school compnay is taking a brake so the kids will get one more week of school off and we will need your child to sign their name here *insert superfluous yet tasteful green arrow*”[sic.]
We’re not sure whether it was the mention of the “school company” or the fastidious aesthetic attention-to-detail, but somehow, Cara. G’s parents were savvy to the fact that this was apparently not an official letter. Somehow…
Another reason behind her failure might be the fact that said letter was unfortunately posted on a Sunday, as amused mum posted on the caption of the Reddit upload.
I’m personally mainly impressed by the correct use of “their”… Better luck next time, kiddo.
